Many like to say that the song is about getting high and "traveling" to far away lands. The "actual" meaning behind the song, written by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow, is about how young boys eventually grow up and lose their true imagination. It’s about the innocence the youth has and their creativity! Believe what you will...and daydream away.
