In Case You Missed It: Uncle Karl Grew Up on a Farm

The Chanel Spring Ready to Wear show was last week in Paris and boy did Uncle Karl outdo himself... Let's just say it was on a farm inside Le Grand Palais and Lily Allen played and there was a threesome and all the models walked out of the center of a haystack... Tres
sexually suggestive.

Don't get me wrong. I grew up worshiping Chanel, but something about this line is a bit kitschy.

Don't get angry at me. You judge for
yourself...

Androgyny abounded with these twins shown in multiple outfits.

Then there was the threesome in the hay in, what-you-ask, tres expensive Chanel RTW.

Right.

This is a recession people, could you make your ignorance to reality a little more obvious?

Ahhh fashion, I guess ignorance is bliss... Hence the reason the entire country is in credit card debt. Alas, such is life.

JJ's Pick: Monsters of Folk

The Super group to End All Super groups – Monsters of Folk

Monsters of Folk is the latest super group to hit the music scene. Made up of Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and solo artist M. Ward , this group really is super.

They’ve been compared to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (whoa – big shoes to fill), but the group’s modern day folk-rock outfit really works. To be honest, I can NOT stand Conor Oberst’s voice, but thankfully his whiny baby attitude is masked by Jim James’ perfectly satisfying crooning.

Sadly, they’re not making it to Texas before their European tour, so we’ll just have to enjoy them via the World Wide Web. Their self-titled debut album, “Monsters of Folk” is on sale now. Check them out at http://monstersoffolk.com/.

TOUR UPDATE: Monsters of Folk is playing at Stubbs on 11/13! Get your tickets here.
